Mission:
To assist medically indigent patients in obtaining affordable prescription medications and other pharmaceutical items.
To support safety net providers in monitoring their patient’s adherence to treatment regimen, health status, and drug utilization.
The following is a list of facts pertaining to the Pharmacy Assistance Program:
Over 130 pharmaceutical manufacturers participate in Patient Assistance Program.
Over 1100 medications are available through the Patient Assistance Program.
Eligible patients only need to pay a small administrative fee for a 90-day supply of most available medications.
SASA-PAP tracks all prescription ordered, retail cost, and provider prescribing patterns.
SASA-PAP supports safety net providers by servicing their patients through our office or help them set up Pharmacy Assistance Program at their practices.
When specific medications are not available, SASA-PAP assist providers to identify an alternative.
Prescriptions are dispensed, labeled, and mailed to the provider’s office (with some exceptions, prescriptions are mailed directly to patient’s home or pharmacy) directly by the pharmaceutical company
